Ingredients

  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 1/4 cup chopped onion
  • 1/4 cup chopped green or red bell pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon prepared yellow mustard
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 1/4 cup barbecue sauce
  • 3 teaspoons brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt to taste
  • Ground black pepper to taste
  • 6 hamburger buns, toasted and buttered

Instructions

  1. Step 1: Cook the ground beef, onion, and bell pepper in a skillet over medium-high heat until the beef is cooked and the vegetables are softened. Drain off liquids.
  2. Step 2: Stir in the garlic powder, mustard, ketchup, barbecue sauce, Worcestershire sauce, and brown sugar. Mix well.
  3. Step 3: Reduce heat, and simmer for 30 minutes. Season with salt and pepper.
  4. Step 4: Place onto toasted and buttered buns and enjoy!
