Scale
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1/2 cup beef broth
- 1 Tbsp worcestershire sauce
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tsp olive oil
- 1 medium onion, diced
- 2 green bell peppers, diced
- 8 mushrooms, diced
- 4 slices provolone cheese
Instructions
- Step 1: Brown ground beef in skillet. Drain fat and then add the beef broth and Worcestershire sauce to the cooked beef. Cook over medium heat for about 4-5 minutes or until most of the liquid is absorbed. Add some salt and pepper if desired. Remove the meat from the skillet and set aside.
- Step 2: Add the olive oil to the skillet and heat for a minute over medium heat before adding the veggies. Cook them for about 5-6 minutes or until they are softened. Add the meat back in and mix everything together.
- Step 3: Place provolone cheese slices over the hot mixture and remove from heat. Cover the skillet with a lid for 1-2 minutes to allow the cheese to melt completely.
- Step 4: Divide the mixture into bowls and serve immediately while the cheese is still melty and the filling is hot.
